MSA Gassonic is the world's leading manufacturer of fixed ultrasonic (acoustic) gas leak detectors for the oil, gas and processing industries, their product s are in compliance to the Norwegian requirements. The Gassonic detectors are suited for instant and reliable detection of pressurized gas leaks in hazardous areas on- and offshore.

Ultrasonic gas leak detectors respond to the ultrasonic noise, which pressurized gas leaks generate. Therefore, they detect leaks instantly in a radius up to 20 m from the detector without having to wait for an explosive gas cloud to build up and without being affected by wind conditions.

The Gassonic Observer-i has Features Artificial Neural  Network (ANN) technology that distinguishes between real gas leaks and false alarm sources. The detectors have 4-20mA and HART output to the control system. These gas detectors works even when traditional methods of gas detection are unsuitable or dependent on ventilation. Also including the SENSSONIC? self-test technology enhancing the reliability of the new Gassonic gas detectors and ensuring failsafe operations.
